- To serve as a liaison point among all sectors in the University; between the University, Ministry of Education and any other third party entities concerning all initiatives available for R & D support
- To provide academic and technological services to members of the teaching staff participating in all the initiatives concerned with R & D Support Program
- To administratively and financially oversee all R & D initiatives and development funded by Ministry of Education and public and private sectors alike
- To draw up plans and strategies necessary to develop activities in the department
- To document all activities, procedures and achievements in detail; prepare the annual reports and balance sheet of each and every initiative so as to be submitted to University Deputy for Higher Studies and Academic Research
- To study and follow up implementation of all that would be referred to by University Rector or University Deputy for Higher Studies and Academic Research concerning R & D Support Initiatives
