King Abdul Aziz University in collaboration with Ministry of Education are currently in pursuit of achieving Saudi Arabic Vision 2030 in terms of international cooperation on R & D of the following:

A. Great Challenges Scholarship

It refers to the support provided to relevant R & D activities concerned with confronting and furnishing viable solutions to the following challenges:

1. To increase the total capacity of desalinated water by 50%, desalination or recycled water
2. To maximize dependency on transfer and storage of renewable energy by 4 % of the total use of renewable energy
3. To minimize the threats posed by emerging infectious diseases through prediction, identification of its outbreak, and development of vaccination in Genetics and Bio-Nano technology
4. To develop a present simulation mechanism of crown management and control with forewarning abilities

B. Research Capabilities Scholarship

It is mainly concerned with supporting basic and applied R & D in the following secondary disciplines:
